Money, Milkshakes, and Giant Reese's Cup

A successful week of not taking on too much! Our plan was executed wonderfully. After all the traveling and running around from the Holidays we were in much need of a break. We survived the bitter cold this past week and I ventured out for a wonderful dinner date on Tuesday with Wendy. Game Night this week was at Tristan and Gretchen's (we all rocked out with Guitar Hero!), Thursday Jason worked a few hours in the evening, and it was bed early on Friday! Yesterday I was up bright and early at 9:50am. Trust me, it's bright and early for me on a Saturday if it's before noon! I've decided the statistic that 1/3 of our lives are spent in bed wouldn't be pushed to the max any longer by me! So up and at 'em I was.

MONEY: I managed to finally convince Jason to do something a little more 'interest earning' with his massive coin collection. So roll the coins we did!

Not without saving a State quarter for every state! We're three short of having all 50! Jason's still missing a State quarter from Alaska, Arizona, and Hawaii. The mission is on! (This was quite the task mind you and I had to beg Jason to smile for a picture, otherwise his expression was that of a little kid and someone was trying to take their favorite toy away.)

MILKSHAKES: Saturday evening was filled with Milkshakes and Rockband! Our good friends Kent and Danielle just got Rockband and we spent the evening helping them unlock songs by being back up singers and musicians to their new band -> Mr. and Mrs. :) Just look at the concentration on their faces. Great times!

GIANT REESE'S CUP: Sunday evening we took on the challenge of taking my favorite candy bar and making it GIANT! No recipe, only taste testing....lots of taste testing. Lot's of peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter, and chocolate! Several attempts at melting chocolate with a make shift double boiler lost out to the instant squeeze of chocolate syrup! Due to the evening getting late, we had to stick the Giant Reese's Cup in the freezer. You can hardly imagine our anticipation!

You can bet we'll blog on the outcome!!!
